|
Los Angeles, CA April 5, 2000 (ICB TOLL FREE NEWS) REVShare Corporation has finalized an agreement with AMN Television Marketing to acquire the 'As Seen On TV' portal site, 800WEBMALL.COM. As part of the agreement, AMN Television founder Joseph Gray has been named CEO of REVShare to spearhead the further development of the new Internet based Per Inquiry platform.
In addition to the portal site, the purchase also includes AMN's patent pending ``800WEB'' approach for using 800 numbers as web addresses in direct response commercials. The innovative approach allows TV viewers to either call the 800 number or enter it into their web browser and order online through the 800WEBMALL.com site.
800WEBMALL.COM is the first Internet site to adopt a Per Inquiry model in order to provide revenue to local television stations wanting to participate in the latest trend selling AS SEEN ON TV products through the Internet. 800WEBMALL.com site is heavily promoted on TV through its licensed agencies, such as AMN Television Marketing, who currently uses the 800WEB technology in direct response commercials it distributes to all 250 of its broadcast station affiliates providing media presence in nearly 100% of U.S. local markets.
Under the corporate guidance of REVShare, 800WEBMALL.COM seeks to expand its presence within the direct response television (DRTV) community by adding the industry's leading agencies and product owners to its successful portal site.
Said Gray: ``REVShare's investors believe in the future of Per Inquiry Advertising on the Internet. AMN has spent two years developing the technology to commission stations on Internet sales as well as transact Per Inquiry sales on the Internet through the 800WEB platform. At this time, AMN has agreed to divest itself of these properties so that REVShare can further develop the platform into a resource for the entire direct response industry. In addition to REVShare's continued relationship with AMN Television Marketing, the company looks forward to licensing other Per Inquiry direct response agencies in the near future.''
``I see this as a new frontier in marketing and revenue development,'' said Jeff Klopfenstein, Director of Business Development for 800WEBMALL.COM Indianapolis affiliate WRTV-TV. ``800WEBMALL.COM allows us to take advantage of the per inquiry industry and receive handsome commissions for each transaction via the company's unique localized accounting code. We were aggressively reviewing e-commerce opportunities for the WRTV.COM site and immediately recognized the tremendous value presented by 800WEBMALL.COM. Instead of adding on a labor intensive and costly e-commerce application, 800WEBMALL.COM gives us full local branding on every page of the site and financial benefits in a completely turn-key package.''
Per Inquiry has been historically recognized as a risk-free way for advertisers to market their products on television. Through the pioneering efforts of AMN Television, the per inquiry model has been successfully adapted for the Internet, providing a new and cost effective way for advertisers to joint venture with television stations through the Internet. Television stations are also provided with the ability to offer viewers top quality, branded merchandise inside a Web site portal environment that is completely branded to the local station. 800WEBMALL.COM product clients include Time/Life, Heartland Music, Direct to Retail, TriStar, The Media Group, K-Tel, among many others.
Curiously, 1 800 WEB MALL is not an 800WEBMALL.COM phone number. REVShare explains more about its 800WEBMALL.COM platform at http://www.revsharecorp.com/marketing2000/info1.pdf (Adobe Acrobate required.)
